Coriander Mint Chicken




To Marinate
---------------

  1. Chicken pieces - 500 gm
  2. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  3. Pepper powder -  1 tsp
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander Leaves - 1/2 cup (chopped)
  7. Mint Leaves -1/2 cup (chopped)
  8. Curd - 3/4 cup
  9. Green chilly - 4
  10. Salt - To Taste

    Method for Marination
    -----------------------------
    1. Grind ingredients numbered 2 to 10 to a fine paste.
    2. Add the paste to chicken and marinate well.
    3. Keep aside for at least 2 hrs . For best results keep it refrigerated overnight.

    Ingredients

    • Onion - 1 big
    • Tomato -1/2
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
    • Green chilly  - 4
    • Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
    • Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
    • Crushed Pepper powder - 1 1/2 tsp
    • Garam Masala powder - 1 1/2 tsp
    • Coriander Leaves 
    • Mint Leaves
    • Salt - to taste

    Method 
    ----------
    1. Heat 3 tbs oil and saute onions till light brown.
    2. Add ginger garlic paste followed by green chilli, mint and coriander leaves and saute till a nice aroma comes.
    3. Add turmeric, chilli, coriander powders, salt  and garam masala powder and saute for 3 mins.
    4. Add chopped tomatoes and saute well.
    5. Add marinated chicken pieces and mix well. Close lid and cook until chicken is done . (No need to add water as water will start oozing from chicken).
    6. Tastes best with chapathi, appam, roti, rice, pathiri.
