Prawns Curry
Ingredients

- Prawns -200 gm (deshelled and deveined)
- Onion - 1/2 (finely chopped)
- Tomato puree - 2 tbsp
- Green chilly - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Paaprika/Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Coconut milk -1/4 cup
- Cumin -1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves - for garnishing
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - 1 pinch
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Butter - 1 tsp
- Water -1/2 - 3/4 cup
To Marinate

- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1tsp
Method

- Marinate the prawns with turmeric,chilli,pepper powder, salt and lemon juice and keep aside for 30 mins.
- In a pan add oil and shallow fry the prawns.Drain and keep aside.
- In the same pan melt butter. Add jeera, ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes.
- Add chopped onions and saute till light brown.
- Add turmeric, chilli, coriander, cumin, garam masala powders and saute till raw smell disappears.
- Add tomato puree,salt, sugar and saute till oil oozes out from gravy.
- Now add prawns and mix well till masala is coated.
- Add 1 cup water .Cover and cook till gravy thickens.
- Reduce flame and add coconut milk.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Taste best with chapathi, naan, roti.
