Poha Chivda / Aval Mixture

- Poha /Aval - 21/2 cup
- Peanuts - 3/4 cup
- Roasted split Chana Dal (Pottukadala) - 1/4 cup
- Cashew nuts - 3 tbsp
- Dried Red Chilli - 2
- Fresh Curry Leaves - 4 spring
- turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
- Asafoetida Powder/Hing - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - To Taste
- Oil -2 tbsp
Method

- In a pan fry the poha till it becomes nice and crisp ( will take around 3 to 4 mins) without adding oil and keep aside.
- In another heated pan add oil , fry the peanuts, cashew nuts, roasted chana dal. Take out and drain excess oil using a paper towel.
- In the same oil, splutter curry leaves followed by dried red chilli.
- Add turmeric powder and hing and mix well.
- Add fried poha, chilli powder, salt and mix well .
- Add roasted peanuts, cashew and chana dal and mix.
