Chemmeen (Prawns) Thoran
Ingredients

- Prawns (chemmeen) - 1/4 cup
 - Shallots - 3/4 cup (chopped)
 - Drumsticks(Muringakka) - 1 cut into 2 inch long pieces (optional)
 - Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
 - Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
 - Green chilli - 2
 - Curry leaves - 1-2 spring
 - Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
 - Dried Red chilli (unakka mulaku) - 2 nos
 - Water - 1/4 cup
 - Oil - 2 tbsp
 
To grind (to coarse)

- Coconut - 1/2 cup
 - Pearl onion(kunjulli) - 2 nos
 - Jeera (cumin) - 1 pinch
 - Salt - 1 pinch
 - Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
 
Method
----------
- Cook drumsticks and prawns in 1/4 cup water with salt chilli,and turmeric powder until done and all the water has evaporated.
 - In a pan add oil.Splutter mustard seeds followed by red chilli and curry leaves.
 - Add chopped shallot , green chilli and saute till it becomes translucent.
 - Add cooked drumsticks and prawn to this and saute for 3 mins.
 - Now add grounded coconut mixture and cook for 2 more mins.Serve hot with rice.

- Shallots can be substituted with onions but shallots gives more flavour.
