Ingredients

  • Cheera(Spinach) - 3 cups (leaves and stem separate)
  • Ethakaya (Raw plantain) - 1/4 cup
  • Brinjal (Green) - 1/4 cup
  • Raw Mango - 1/8 cup
  • Green chilli - 4
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch

To Grind (Coarse)

  • Coconut - 3/4 cup
  • Shallot -2 nos
  • Jeera (Cumin) -1 pinch

Method
----------

  1. Separate the leaves and stem of cheera.Chop leaves and cut the stem into 2 inch long pieces. 
  2. To a heated pan add 1 tsp oil .Add slit green chilli , 1 spring curry leaves and saute for 5 sec.
  3. To it add cheera thandu(spinach stem) , kaya, Brinjal (All veg should be sliced in the same way-2 inch long pieces).
  4. Add 1/4 cup water,salt and turmeric powder .Close lid and cook for 5 mins.When they are almost done add chopped spinach leaves Close lid and cook for 1 min.
  5. Now add raw mango pieces .Close and cook for another 5 mins.
  6. When they are done add the grounded coconut mixture and mix well.
  7. After 3 mins add 1 tsp coconut oil and 1 spring curry leaves.
