Paal kanji
Ingredients

- Payasam Rice ( unakkalari) - 1 cup
- Water - 5 cup
- Thin Coconut Milk - 1 cup
- Thick coconut Milk - 1/2 cup
- Salt - To taste
Method

- Wash the rice well and put in a pressure cooker.
- Add 5 cups of water , salt and cook until done.
- When pressure is released open the lid and add thin coconut milk and bring to boil.
- Reduce flame and add thick coconut milk.Check salt.add more if needed.
- Serve hot with pickle and payar thoran. It can also be eaten alone.
