Beef Curry




Ingredients

  • Beef - 500 gm (I used stew meat)
  • Onion - 1 (finely sliced)
  • Tomato - 1/2  (sliced)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 11/2 tbsp
  • Green Chilli - 2 or 3
  • Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chilli powder - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder- 2 tsp
  • Pepper Powder -2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coconut Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon -1 small stick
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cardamom -3
  • Whole pepper corns -10



Method
----------
  1.  In a pressure cooker add oil .Splutter  cinnamon, pepper, cloves, cardamom.
  2.  Add sliced onion and saute till they become brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and curry leaves and saute till  raw smell disappears,
  4. Add turmeric, chilli , coriander, garam masala,pepper powders and mix well.
  5. Add sliced tomatoes and  saute well till they becomes mushy and oil starts oozing out.
  6. To this mixture, add cleaned  cut beef and saute in medium flame till the masala is coated well on the beef.
  7. Add 1 cup water and mix gently.
  8. Close the  lid of cooker and cook till done.
  9. When the pressure is released open the cooker and add 1 tsp coocnut oil and curry leaves at top.
  10. Tastes best with porotta, appam chapathi, roti etc.
