Masala Dosa
Ingredients

- Dosa batter - 3 cup (for recipe click Dosa)
- Ghee/Oil -As needed
For masala
------------
- Potato-1
- Onion -1
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp
- Green chilli - 2
- Red chilli -2
- Curry leaves- few
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder- 1/4 tsp
- Chana dal - 1tsp
Method

For preparing Masala

- Peel the skin of the potato and cook with adequate salt, turmeric powder and water in a pressure cooker.
- When pressure is released open and gently mash the potatoes.
- In a pan add oil.Splutter mustard seeds, chana dal, curry leaves and red chilli.
- Saute ginger slices followed by onion and green chilli.
- Add chilli and turmeric powder.
- Add mashed potatoes and give a nice mix.
- The "masala " is ready.Keep aside.
For masala dosa

- Heat a tawa and pour dosa batter and spread well. Add oil/ghee.
- When the bottom of dosa turns golden brown , add required quantity of prepared masala and spread well.
- Roll the dosa to desired shape and serve hot with some Sambar, chutney and Onion Chutney (ulli chammanthi).
