Ulli Chammanthi (Onion Chutney)





Ingredients

  • Onion- 1 (chopped)
  • Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt -To taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp


Method
------------
  1. In the small jar of a mixer, add the chopped onions and  blend (2 pulses will be fine.). It should not be grounded to fine paste.Just crush it coarsely.
  2. Heat a kadai. Add oil.
  3. When the oil gets heated add crushed onions, chilli powder and salt.
  4. Saute it till the water content has completely gone and it starts leaving the side s of the pan.
  5. Add oil in between if needed.
  6. Tastes bets with idly, dosa,etc.
