Chocochip Marble Cake
Ingredients

- All purpose flour - 11/4 cup
- Baking powder-1/2 tsp
- Eggs -2 (at room temperature)
- Vanilla essence -1/2 tsp
- Sugar- 3/4 cup
- Milk- 1/4 cup
- Butter - 1 stick (110 gm) (at room temperature)
- Semi sweet chocochips - 3/4 cup
- Chocolate Syrup - 3 tbsp
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
Method

- Preheat an oven at 350F (180C).
- Sieve together flour, salt, baking powder. (dry ingredients)
- Beat 2 eggs in a large bowl with 1/2 tsp vanilla essence til ribbon stage.
- In another bowl beat butter and sugar well.
- Add sieved dry ingredients and beaten egg alternatively to the sugar butter mixture and gently fold in.
- Add 1/4 cup milk if the batter becomes too thick.
- Add semisweet chocochip and mix gently.
- Divide the batter into two sections and add chocolate syrup in one portion and mix well.
- Pour the two batter on a lightly greased dusted baking pan.
- Make swirls with a spatula so that two batters mix gently creating a marble appearance.
- Garnish with slightly dusted chocochips at top.
- Bake for 22-25 mins until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
- Cut , serve and enjoy.
Notes

- The baking time depends on oven and can be changed slightly.
- The eggs and butter should be at room temperature.
- Cool the cake well before slicing.
- Lightly dusting the choco chips with the flour prevents them from sinking down.
