Vegetable Pulav
Ingredients

- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Boiling Water - 2 cups
- Vegetables Chopped Lengthwise - 1 cup (I used onions, carrot, beans, broccoli)
- Cooked Green Peas - 1/4 cup
- Green chill - 1 chopped
- Ginger garlic Paste - 1/4 tsp
- Cardamom - 1
- Cloves 3
- Bay Leaf - 1
- Cinnamon - 1 small piece
- Oil/Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt
Method

- Soak rice in water for half an hour and drain .
- Boil water with cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon and 1 tsp oil and lemon juice.(this prevents the rice from sticking each other).
- Cook rice with enough salt by adding the above boiling water .
- Heat a pan in and add 2tbsp oil/ ghee .
- Saute 1 cinnamon, 1 clove, followed by ginger garlic paste.
- Add finely sliced onions and saute till brown, followed by thinly sliced vegetables of your choice and cooked green peas.
- Ass salt and chopped green chilly.
- Saute for a while and cover and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add cooked rice and gently mix.
- Cover and keep in low flame for 5 minutes
- Serve hot with any veg or non veg curry.
Notes
---------
- To prevent rice from sticking to each other, add 1 tsp oil and lemon juice while cooking rice.
