Padvalanga Parippu (Snake gourd Dal )Thoran
Ingredients

- Snake gourd(cut into small cubes)- 11/2 cup
- Green chilli -1
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli - 1
- Oil- 1 tbsp
- Salt - To taste
- Cooked Chana Dal - 1/4 cup
- Water- 1/4 cup

- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Pearl Onion-2 nos
- Jeera (Cumin) -1 pinch
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - 1 pinch
Method
------------
- Cook the cubed Snake gourd with salt, green chilli and turmeric powder adding little water.
- In a pan add oil. Splutter mustard seeds,red chilli and curry leaves.
- Add cooked Snake gourd and dal and mix well.
- Add grounded coconut mixture and saute for 2 mins
- Serve hot with rice
