Thenga Aracha Ayala curry (Indian Mackerel in Coconut Gravy)
Ingredients

- Ayala (Indian Mackerel) - 2
- Green chilli -3
- Curry Leaves
- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
- Red chilli -1
- Pearl Onion -2
- Water - 1/cup
- Salt - To taste
- Kudampuli/Cambodge - 2 pieces
- Coconut Oil - 3 tbsp
Method

- Clean and cut fish to medium size pieces.
- Grind ingredients numbered 4 to 9 to a fine paste.
- Heat a manchatti/ pan and add oil.
- Saute slit green chilli and curry leaves.
- Add grounded coconut mixture and saute for 1 min.
- Add cleaned mackerel/ ayala pieces, kudampuli , water and salt.
- Cover and cook until fish is cooked.
- Once cooked add 1 tsp coconut oil and curry leaves at top.
