Dried Green Peas Curry
Ingredients

- Dried Green Peas - 3/4 cup
- Onion -1/2 ( thinly sliced)
- Tomato - 1/2 (cubed )
- Green chilli - 4 (slit into 2)
- Curry Leaves - few
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder -1/4 tsp
- Thin coconut milk - 11/2 cup
- Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
- Water - 1cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Method

- In a pressure cooker add oil and splutter mustard seeds..
- Add sliced onion, green chilli, curry leaves saute till onion becomes translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste and tomato and saute well.
- Add coriander, chilli, turmeric powders, garam masala and salt and saute till raw smell disappears.
- Add dried green peas and saute for 2 mins
- Add 1cup water and cook until done.(mine took 7 whistles)
- Once pressure is released open the lid and add thin coconut milk and bring to boil.
- Now reduce heat to low add thick coconut milk.
- Add 1 tsp oil and curry leaves at top.
- Tastes best with appam, bread, chappati, palappam
