Sweet Boli
Ingredients

For outer layer

- All Purpose Flour - 11/2 cup
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Water
- Oil
For inner layer
------------------
- Chana dal - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Cardomom Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
For dusting and smearing

- Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Ghee
Method
-------------
- Mix all the ingredients for the outer layer to make a smooth dough.
- Add oil and keep aside for atleast 20 minutes and make small balls.
- Soak chana dal in water for half an hour.
- Pressure cook dal until done . Remove excess water and smash well.
- Add sugar , cardamom powder and ghee and mix it well on flame until you get a tighter dough. (You can increase the quantity of sugar if needed according to your taste.)
- Cool down and make small balls.
- Roll out the maida dough to small circle.
- Place the chana dal ball inside .Cover it.
- Dust in rice flour and roll out as thin as possible
- Place the rolled boli on a hot tawa.
- When bubble starts appearing, turn the other side.
- Smear ghee over top
- Tastes best with palpayasam.
